Seven Mile Beach

Some days our beach has no shells. Other days there are a few shells. And then on rare days, there are bucket loads of shells, mostly tiny little shells that look gorgeous all clumped together.

When I was a child, my sister and I collected these little coloured, horn-shaped shells. They were our favourite shells, except for Angel Wings. So when I see these ones, I'm always thinking of her and the many hours we spent collecting shells.

I've got heaps of photos taken like this as I played to try to get the balance right of shells and ocean and sky. I'm not sure which ones I prefer because each time I look I like a different balance...but today, I like more shells and a stormy sky with the crests of waves.

Seven Mile Beach is on the south coast of NSW, beginning at Gerroa and encompassing Seven Mile Beach National Park and Comerong Island. It's a beautiful part of the world.
