Kanagaroo Paw

I take a lot of flower photos. They intrigue me - all the shapes, colours and textures. Added to that - they remain mostly still while you photograph them, unlike animals who can skip away!

This is a different shot of the Kangaroo Paw. It's usually tubular, with a few tubes per flower grouping. But if you look closely at the end of the tube, this is what you see. Long stamens with anthers heavily laden with pollen. No wonder the Wattlebirds are all over them.
