Fresh Produce

When I left Sydney, one of the most incredible things I found was fresh produce - not just fruit and vegetables but meat too. If you find a good Green Grocer or Fruit & Vege shop or Butcher, you can get good produce... but nothing beats produce fresh from the farm.

Maybe you can find this in Sydney, but when I left it was my first foray away from the nest, so I'd never had to find my own produce! It took me a while to source good food but when I did - it's finger licking, lip-smacking good!

A lamb chop from a lamb producer is melt-in-your-mouth delicious - especially if you can eat it before it's been frozen.

Fresh eggs straight from the chook - so good!

A tomato from my tomato plant is divine compared with shop bought and stored tomatoes.

Fresh strawberries I fight with the Blue TongueLizards and birds for - delish!

Tomorrow I get to pick up 15 kg of beef from a local beef farmer. Fresh. Delicious. Yummmmm. Tomorrow night's a big mixed grill at my place for us, and my Dad who's visiting.

Nothing like fresh produce!
