The Saddler Boys
I've spent 2.5 glorious weeks in Condobolin soaking up my dose of rural, animal, red soil, sunsets, crops, pastures, field days, old friends (only some as I ran out of time), and big blue skies.
Reading rural stories brings me joy, but reading a great rural story in a rural setting, complete with trusty companion, was more joy than I know how to explain.

Micro Fiction Published
I have a piece of micro fiction, Outback Summer, published by One Page Lit Mag. You can find it here.
I wanted to capture the feeling of summer during drought in Condobolin. I wanted to capture in words the heat, the oppressive nature of the weather, the hope for rain, and the disappointment when it doesn't come.
I don't know how well I managed to capture the feeling, but I'm thrilled that it's published.
Please let me know what you think.
