Field Peas

Field pea flowers are stunning. These are from last year, in a friend's paddock. This year they all got dunked under floodwaters.

Tree

I took this photo at a friend's and I'm going to use it for my branding...I think.

I've so many photos...I have no idea which to use!

The Saddler Boys

I've spent 2.5 glorious weeks in Condobolin soaking up my dose of rural, animal, red soil, sunsets, crops, pastures, field days, old friends (only some as I ran out of time), and big blue skies.

Reading rural stories brings me joy, but reading a great rural story in a rural setting, complete with trusty companion, was more joy than I know how to explain.

Micro Fiction Published

I have a piece of micro fiction, Outback Summer, published by One Page Lit Mag. You can find it here.

I wanted to capture the feeling of summer during drought in Condobolin. I wanted to capture in words the heat, the oppressive nature of the weather, the hope for rain, and the disappointment when it doesn't come.

I don't know how well I managed to capture the feeling, but I'm thrilled that it's published.

Please let me know what you think.
